We slept in again and then spent the morning catching up on emails and doing a bit of work. It was another perfect day in Cape Town.
Around 11 we ordered an Uber to go down to the Waterfront to have lunch with Claude Laurent and Anna Engstrom, doctors from Sweden who live in Cape Town part of the year whom we first met at a wine dinner during our 2012 trip (
see here). We had a very interesting conversation about traveling, American politics (Europeans always seem much informed than Americans on this topic) and some very interesting work that Claude is going on e-medicine. We were treated to an awesome lunch at the
Harbour House restaurant down at the Waterfront - very delicious, fresh seafood. It was great that our schedules permitted us to catch up.

When Gow got home from work, we went over the mountain for dinner. We had dinner at
Miller's Thumb (per the recommendation of a colleague). Gow was very impressed that we had heard of this place as it is one of Cape Town's best restaurants, but only known to (some) locals. Gow's friends Claire (from Cape Town) and Rich (from Cape Town by way of Wales) met us for dinner. I had an incredible kingclip dish that was cooked Malay style with noodles. It was probably our best meal so far.

Afterward, we went to Rafiki's bar across the street, where we all met up with Gow's friends Ashley and Zita.
